SI COAD General Body Meeting

Tuesday, December 17th, 2019

Tina Campbell, Medical Ecosystem (MES) Co-chair & Director of Environmental Safety/EPC of Richmond University Medical Center & Shirley Dunn, SI COAD Co-chair & Director of Quality Assurance at Eden II Programs led local nonprofits, social and health/medical, education and response organizations in beginning to conduct an Island-wide Hazard Vulnerability Analysis. We had tough but helpful and needed conversations around the vulnerabilities that our Staten Island communities are at risk for and how prepared we are. We will continue to address the role that all our organizations may have in planning for prevention, preparedness, response and recovery during our future meetings this year. Thank you to Dr. Ginny Mantello and our Staten Island Borough Hall for hosting us. And to Jill Cornell from NYC Emergency Management for demonstrating and walking us through their Hazard Mitigation Tool.
